Furniture handles
Which style do I choose? What kind of materials are available? How are the handles mounted? Furniture handles are a very important visual component in furniture, so it is crucial to know how to choose the best option. In this section, we explain the most important characteristics when selecting your furniture handle.
Style
Our range of furniture handles is a reflection of the market trend, with an unmistakable vintage or modern style, capable of creating unique atmospheres in kitchen furniture, bathroom or any other room in the home.
Modern
Handles for modern furniture are a particular element that gives style to the furniture. The choice of these small details reflects the personality of your custom design furniture.
This type of modern handles stand out for their straight lines, very marked, with elongated models, in chrome, satin nickel, titanium or black finish. They are elegant and timeless, specially designed to match your modern furniture.
Vintage
Vintage furniture handles are the ideal choice for rustic, classic or colonial style furniture. Models in gold, titanium or black finishes are a growing trend because they allow the design of more sophisticated and luxurious spaces.
The contrast created between these vintage handles and the black or white cabinet and drawer fronts is very elegant. Adding some other element of the same material, such as faucets or lamps, will help to create a balanced decoration with a very striking and luxurious focal point.
Knobs
Furniture knobs are distinguished by their more compact shape, usually with a single fixing hole. The combination of knobs and handles is the best choice to create unique furniture that reflects your personality.
Material
Determining what type of material you need in your furniture handles is key to determining the style, color, durability, strength or cleanliness of your furniture.
- Aluminum: Aluminum handles are easy to clean, lightweight and durable because they resist corrosion.
- Steel: Steel handles are a favorite for many due to their durability and easy cleaning. They are ideal for kitchen or bathroom furniture, thanks to their resistance in humid environments.
- Zamak: Zamak handles are widely used because it is a very hard, resistant and difficult to scratch material. It comes from an alloy of different metals such as copper, zinc, aluminum and magnesium.
- ABS / PVC: ABS or PVC handles are ideal for cabinet doors or drawer fronts in kitchen, bathroom, home and office furniture.
Installation
The installation of furniture handles is very simple, you only have to take into account some characteristics:
Screwed handle
To install a handle or knob, a drill with a wood or metal drill bit is required, depending on the material of the door or drawer. All our models have metric thread inside and are supplied with the necessary M4 screws for installation. In addition, they are individually packaged to avoid scratches.
Recessed handle
To install a recessed or inset handle, it is necessary to carry out a previous machining with a milling machine or a specific drill. It is important to take into account the depth to be mortised and the thickness of the door, as well as to use sharp tools to avoid marks. Once the handle housing has been made, it must be fixed with screws or contact glue, depending on the model.
Handle axis
To determine the size of the bolted handle we need, it is necessary to know its axis. The center-to-center distance of a handle is the distance between the mounting holes. This measurement goes from center to center of each hole and must be a multiple of 32 mm (32, 64, 96, 128, 160...).
