Technical assistance
We want to clear the main technical questions that may arise about the operation of our products and the steps necessary for their assembly.
LED Strips
Yes, they are compatible with Alexa and Google Home. Therefore, the RGB LED strip should be linked with the Smart Home application and this, in turn, with Alexa or Google Home.
Yes, it is a cuttable LED strip by its cutting area (every 55.5mm) and can be connected with a cable and even use a connecting fitting.
No, they do not include covers, which are sold separately. They only include the aluminium profile and the diffusor profile.
In order to choose the correct converted for an LED strip it is necessary to: - Know the type of converter that corresponds to the LED strip. In our catalogue we indicate on each light the type of converter or transformer that must be used with a series of icons. - Find out the total power required of the converter (6 W, 15 W, 30W, 50W, 72W, 100W, 200W). In order to calculate the power of a specific length of strip, it is necessary to know what the total power of the 5m roll is (our sale unit) and what is the length of it that we need for installation. For example:If a 5 m strip (a roll) has a power of 24 W and I need will be for the installation a 2 m strip: X= (2m x 24W) / 5m = 9,6W Therefore, I will choose the 15W converter. Attention, it is necessary to add up the consumption amounts of the different strip accessories if they are included in the fitting.

In order to control the RGB LED strip you need an RGB controller with a radio frequency remote control. If in the facility there are two controllers they can both be controlled with a single remote as all the controllers have the same frequency.

When this happens, it is necessary to bear in mind that the controller switches on the output switch when it detects the movement of a human body. That is to say, the controller does not detect the movements of objects, for example the movement of a door. Also, in order for it to detect movement, it is necessary to cut across its detection range. The MOTION sensor has a detection range of 2 metres and an angle of 90º.
The touch sensor for LED strips has a detector that reacts when a human hand approaches it.The light will switch on when the sensor detects a human hand within an area of 0 to 2 mm and it will switch off when it detects it again. The sensor self-calibrates using potential difference, that is to say, its takes into account the objects and the distance between the hand and the sensor the first time it is turned on.If you want to change it, you need to reset the sensor. To do that, you need to disconnect the touch sensor from the electrical network (by disconnecting the sensor from the converter from the network or the power control switch of the residence), wait for 5 seconds and connect it again so that the sensor auto calibrates.

Yes, they are compatible. But, it is necessary to bear in mind that the Lynx sensors have different dimensions. In the case of the Motion sensor, the position of the lens has been changed but the dimensions have been maintained. When it comes to machining the diffuser it is necessary to bear in mind that the lens protrudes from it, the diameter of 10 mm is maintained but the position changes to 15 mm.In the case of the Touch and Dimmer sensors, there are no changes that affect assemble and the new Lynx sensor can be mounted where the previous sensor was mounted.
A very important factor that influences the brightness difference at the ends of the LED strip, is the voltage drop. When a lot of metres of LED strip are connected, the voltage at the start is different than the end voltage, the distance has an effect and causes the LEDs to produce less light due to the power drop they suffer. That is why in our catalogue the maximum recommended connection length is indicated via a symbol on each strip. Look up what the maximum installation length is for LED strips. There is a way to ensure that the LED strip does not suffer a significant drop in voltage over long distances, and this involves powering it from both ends. In order to power the strip from both ends you need to use two cables, one at each end of the LED strip. It is important to maintain the polarity at both ends, to do that you need to power the strip in accordance with the following instructions, bearing in mind that at one of the ends the AMP connection is made differently to normal (red and black backwards), which is indicated in the drawing with the exclamation point.

DownloadThe maximum recommended length of the installation of LED strips is indicated in our catalogue with a symbol on each LED strip. The table outlines the maximum recommended length if the power supply is only provided via one length (a converter). It also outlines the maximum recommended length if the power supply is provided via both ends (two converters) that multiply by two. Please note: To power the strip via both ends you need to create a special connection. Look up how can to ensure that the LED strip has the same brightness all along it.

The LED Lynx strip with a variable colour temperature has a controller that makes it possible to select a colour temperature of cool white, natural white or warm white, in a range between 3,000 Kelvin and 6,000 Kelvin.
You can calculate the maximum power if you know the supply voltage of the LED strips (12V DC) and the power that you want to install using the following formula: Amps (A) = Power (W) / Voltage (V)Example: A= 60W / 12Va A= 5AThe maximum power that I can connect is 60W at 12V DC.
No, only the Lynx H cables and connectors that are 8 mm wide are compatible with aluminium and diffuser profiles for LED strips.
No, it is only compatible for 8 mm wide LED strips
You can calculate the maximum power if you know the supply voltage of the LED strips (12V DC) and the power that you want to install using the following formula: Amps (A) = Power (W) / Voltage (V)Example: A= 48W / 12Va A= 4AThe maximum power that I can connect is 48W at 12V DC.
Yes, they are compatible with all the aluminium and diffuser profiles for LED strips.
Yes, they are compatible with all the accessories. Please note: Lynx Premium and Basic LED strips of 4.8 W/m, 9.6 W/m and 14.4 W/m are 8 mm wide, while the Lynx Premium LED strip of 28.8 W/m is 10 mm wide.

The minimum hole diameter to be made is 7 mm for the male Miniled connector to go through. If you have a female connector, the hole has to be 9 mm.
Within the available sensor range, you can opt for a Red Eye or Point 240 V AC sensor or a Dot, Point, Micron or Twelfy 12V/24V sensor. In the case of 12V/24V DC sensors, bear in mind they will need a set of 12V/24V DC sensor accessories to be easily and quickly connected. They may convert their connections from AMP to Miniled.
You can calculate the amperage of an installation if you know the feed voltage of 24 V LED Lynx (24V DC) and the power you wish to install. We calculate the data with the following formula: Amperage (A) = Power (W) / Voltage (V)Example: A= 72W / 24V = 3A, so the maximum power I can connect is 72W to 24V DC without exceeding the 3A admitted by 24V Lynx H cable.
You can calculate the maximum power if you know the supply voltage of the 24V LED Lynx strips (24V DC) and the maximum amperage admitted by the Lynx H 24V cable (they are 3A).We calculate it with the following formula: Power (W) = Voltage (V) x Amperage (A)Example: P(W)= 24V x 3A = 72W, with the maximum power it can connect with the Lynx H 24V cable is 72W at 24V DC.
Yes, it is totally compatible. Also, if they need a straight H joint of 8 mm (code 5061120), it may also be used because it is compatible with LED strip profiles and diffusers.
No, 24V Lynx strips are not compatible with 12V Lynx strip accessories. To make 24V Lynx strips work, it is necessary to have a 24V LED converter and SPECIAL 24v H cable including a Miniled connector, so the whole range can work with said connection.12 V Lynx sensors are not compatible either. They work at 12V, but can be used with most sensors in the Emuca catalogue admitting 24V or working at 230V AC.
Yes, it can be cut every 63 mm.It also shows cutting marks in one of the strip sides, since it has a more transparent area where the darker side shows the cutting areas.Since the strip has cables on the two sides, each strip has to be cut in 2 pieces, to have a cable on each side.If you need additional cuts, the waste can be used connecting the strip with the 8 mm Lynx Q or the Lynx H cable or by welding the strip.
